- Approximate location only when you tap "Find events near me" - never stored
- Anonymous usage data - events clicked, pages viewed
- Push notification preferences - stored on your device only
What we do not collect
- We do not sell your data to any third party
- We do not track you across other websites
- We do not store your precise GPS coordinates
- We do not serve advertising based on your data
How we use your data
Your email is used solely to send event alerts you have opted into. You can unsubscribe anytime via any email we send.
Third party services
- Google Places API - for venue and event data
- Ticketmaster Discovery API - for event listings
- City of Melbourne Open Data - for public event information
- Supabase - for secure data storage (AWS Sydney region)
- Netlify - for website hosting

Xalo aggregates publicly available event information for Melbourne, Australia. We do not sell tickets directly and are not responsible for the events listed.
User conduct
- You must be 18 years or older to create an account
- You agree not to use the service for any unlawful purpose
- You agree not to scrape, copy or redistribute our content without permission
- You agree not to impersonate another person or entity
Event information accuracy
Event details are sourced from Ticketmaster, Google Places and City of Melbourne Open Data. We aim for accuracy but cannot guarantee all details are current. Always verify with the event organiser before attending.
Promoter splash advertising
Xalo displays full-screen promotional content from paid event promoters on site entry. Users can skip this content at any time. Xalo is not responsible for the accuracy of promoter-supplied content.
Photo content
Photos are uploaded by accredited Xalo reporters. Photographers retain copyright. Xalo holds a non-exclusive licence to display the photos. If you appear in a photo and wish it removed, email photos@xalo.au.
Limitation of liability
Xalo is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the service or attendance at any event.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia.
